Cancellation policy
Every stay on BGApartman has a cancellation policy, and you see it before you book. It sets the refund you are entitled to if you cancel, based on how much time remains before check-in.

The short version
- The default Flexible policy gives a full refund through 24 hours before check-in, then no refund.
- Hosts choose Flexible (24 hours), Moderate (5 days) or Firm (7 days). Every preset gives a full refund through its deadline and zero after.
- Cancelling is always allowed before check-in. The policy decides the refund, not whether you may cancel.
- The terms you book under are locked in. Later listing changes do not affect your booking.
The default: Flexible
New listings start with Flexible: cancel through 24 elapsed hours before scheduled check-in for a full refund under the policy. After that exact deadline, the refund is zero.
A host can choose Moderate or Firm when creating or editing the listing. Existing bookings retain their recorded policy, including previously agreed schedules.
Three clear policy choices
Every preset has one deadline. Cancel on or before it for a full refund; cancel after it for no refund. Partial refunds are not part of these three presets.
| Policy | Full-refund deadline |
|---|---|
| Flexible | 24 hours before check-in |
| Moderate | 5 days (120 hours) before check-in |
| Firm | 7 days (168 hours) before check-in |
Where the boundaries sit
Cancellation exactly at the Flexible 24-hour, Moderate 120-hour or Firm 168-hour deadline receives a full refund. Any cancellation after the applicable deadline receives no refund under that preset.
The deadline is frozen when you book. A later listing or policy edit never changes the terms for your booking.
How the timing is counted
A day means 24 consecutive hours before your scheduled check-in time, not a calendar day.
We subtract 24, 120 or 168 elapsed hours from scheduled check-in, then display the exact deadline in the property's timezone. Daylight saving can change the displayed clock time. For example: cancellation on or before the shown local deadline qualifies for a full refund.
Your terms are locked in when you book
When you send a booking request, we record the policy, the property's timezone and the exact check-in time for that booking. If the host later edits the listing or its policy, your booking keeps the terms you booked under.
Cancelling a booking
Before check-in, you can cancel your booking. The policy determines your refund; it never determines whether you are allowed to cancel.
A pending request has not been accepted yet, so withdrawing it costs nothing.
Once check-in has started, the pre-arrival windows no longer apply. Stays that have already begun are not eligible for a cancellation refund in the current version.
Completed, already cancelled, or declined bookings cannot be cancelled again.
If the host cancels
If a host cancels before check-in, you are entitled to a full refund of any amount collected for the stay, whatever the guest cancellation policy says.
If a host cancels within 24 hours of check-in, we treat it as an emergency cancellation: you are notified and our support team opens an urgent case to help you.
Where to find a listing's policy
Every listing includes its cancellation policy. Review it before you send a booking request, together with the price, house rules and check-in details.
Payments and refunds today
BGApartman does not collect or process payments yet. No money is taken by the platform when you book, so for now the percentages above describe the cancellation terms for your stay rather than a refund of a completed payment. When payments launch, we will update this page with exactly how refunds are processed.
